Fixed orthodontics braces used to retract severe labial inclination of the front teeth and thereby close teeth gaps spaces. 1) & 2) Pre-operative Before photos. Dental braces move teeth through bone like moving a basketball pole through wet cement using anchorage and elastics. Close up mid-treatment dental braces pictures show how orthodontic space closure occurs. The amount of teeth gap spaces seen here is not unusual for patients who have a tongue thrust habit. This habit is most commonly seen in adolescent to middle aged black females. Controlling this habit is part of orthodontic treatment.
