Here is Dr. Dorfman reinserting the third of three temporary abutments which will be used to hold the temporary teeth (acrylic bridge) in place while the previously shown custom abutments are being used to make the final porcelain bridge. This is done so that the patient will have fixed (not removable) temporary teeth while the final porcelain bridge is being made. This involves a lot more work – and cost – but is desired by many of our dental patients.
