Gingivectomy during crown preparation.
March 22, 2012 5:55 pmA gingivectomy is performed to remove excess gum tissue that has grown into an area where the cusp of a tooth had broken a long time ago. The first photo shows how the tooth looked upon presentation and the second photo shows how it looked after the gingivectomy and the crown preparation were performed.
