Businessman seeking cosmetic dentistry before wedding
November 4, 2008 7:04 pmToday, a number of new dental patients were seen in the practice. The most interesting case was a Wall Street gentleman who was 4 weeks away from his wedding date. Although he was looking for a permanent fix for his teeth which were malpositioned, he also wanted something quick in order to meet the deadline of his wedding date. He was apprehensive of making a quick and independent decision because he didn’t want to choose an option for the sake of his wedding which would prevent him from being able to ultimately restore his teeth. In the end a quick fix was offered which would also allow him to continue with permanent care after his wedding. It is also important to note that this patient had neglected previous orthodontic treatment, so it is worthy to make a note of it in an informed consent, in case patient compliance becomes an issue later on.
