Norvasc Side Effects on the Gums
January 30, 2012 7:00 pmNorvasc side effects include swollen gums and bleeding gums. Norvasc is from a group of medications known as calcium channel blockers that frequently cause gingival hyperplasia (gum overgrowth). Gingivitis and other symptoms of periodontal disease may be seen in patients taking Norvasc but they may not necessarily require treatment if they maintain meticulous oral hygiene. All people taking calcium channel blockers should be seen regularly by a Periodontist.
